We start with a brief introductory phone call. During this conversation, we discuss your request for help and explore whether I can offer suitable support. Feeling comfortable and having a good connection is essential, so you are invited to see how this feels for you.
After the introduction, we schedule an intake session in which we explore your complaints in depth. We do not only look at symptoms, but also at underlying patterns that may influence your situation, creating a comprehensive picture.
The first intake takes place with me; the second intake is with our GZ-psychologist, Anja. You do not need to tell your story twice—we discuss the first intake together so Anja can build on it. A session with Anja is required for insurance reimbursement.
If you prefer to self-pay and do not wish to receive a diagnosis, this is also possible. In that case, you will only have one intake with me and can start your treatment immediately, without insurance involvement.
Based on our conversations, I create a personalised treatment plan with clear goals. This plan provides structure and direction and is fully aligned with your personal situation.
Depending on your goals and complaints, I advise on the most suitable form of therapy. In most cases, treatment consists of a combination of mind, body and soul-oriented therapies, such as CBT and mindfulness, or schema therapy and boxing therapy. Together we choose what best suits your needs.
The number of sessions varies per person and depends on your goals and needs. There is no fixed limit, so we take the time that is needed.
